We started hearing about the time honored benefits of adaptogens several years ago. At that time, we referred to them as Biological Response Modifiers because they had the ability to modify the way the body responded biologically to demands and stimuli. In other words, they helped the body adapt to its inside and outside environment.

This special variety of plants was born of the adversity of extreme temperature variations, radiation exposure, altitude variances, sea pressure, toxic exposure, stresses of drought and water variances and even meteor devastation.

The incredible volume of research that sparked our interest in adaptogens and served as the basis for our planning dates back to the 1950s in Russia.

The Russian government commissioned its Academy of Science to create a product that maximizes human performance. They involved some 1,200 scientists and performed thousands of studies to accomplish this. They focused on ways to enhance the performance of athletes, ballet dancers, chess champions, cosmonauts and even Olympic horses. The goal was to build incredible physical specimens.

Eventually, the studies carried over into the workplace and worker productivity. One study, which lasted for several years, documented a 92% decrease in absenteeism at an auto factory.
